Roadhamas is fast approaching and that means it’s the wonderful time of the year when we gather with friends and family for Maahefun. Restaurants around town are putting up Maahefun menus and there are quite a number of delivery options as well. But, for us, Maahefun is so much special when hosted at home; you know when everyone brings something homemade to be shared with everyone else. Below, we’ve compiled a list of recipes we are so looking forward to make for Maahefun this year.
We are starting off with Kulhi Faaroshi because that is an absolute must; don’t think there’s anyway around it.
We think the Kulhi Faaroshi needs a sweet nibble comrade and so we’ll be making these delicious Maafuh balls.
Our Maahefun includes a few curries. And how do we make a curry special? By pairing it with Bondibaiy of course.
What can we say? Hanaakuri Mas with Bondibaiy is simply an unbeatable combination.
Another curry to go with the Bondibaiy; because as they say variety is the spice of life.
And there must be chicken. So we choose this very special number that’s made with roasted spices.
We figured we should make a rice dish; you know since someone might show up really, really hungry.
And we’ll be making a fresh batch of Theluli Rihaakuru too because where ever there’s Masbaiy there needs to be Theluli Rihaakuru.
And some Lonumirus too, just in case.
We love Masfen, it’s so light and refreshing. It’s also takes just a few minutes to make, so we thought we’d make some.
And of course Maskurolhi, we love it with some plain Baiypen, and also with Masfen too.
We’ll also be making some Pirini because we need a proper dessert.
And we definitely need some hedhikaa too, so we are going with these delicious Riha Folhi.
Also, these Havaadhulee Bis are to die for.
And yes, there needs to be a foni hedhikaa too. So for that we’ll be making some delicate Kiruboakibaas.
And now for the drinks and we are not going to be making many but we’ll be making Suji because that’s a special occasions drink and this is a special occasion.
And rounding up our Maahefun is the simple and delicious Saagu Fani.
