We’ve compiled a list of recipes for the days you need to have a good rice dish, or more precisely in our local tongue, a “baiygandu.”
It’s the simplest one on our list, but saying we love masbaiy, especially with theluli rihaakuru, is such an understatement. Our version uses coconut milk and we really like the creaminess it brings.
This one’s a really versatile and simple fried rice recipe. We used broccoli and carrots but you can of course swap them for any other vegetables you want.
We love this tomato rice recipe. The tomatoes and the rihaakuru and the valhomas really do come together in a very nice and spicy way.
This is a quick and easy one and the reason for that is the valhomas. Since the tuna is already smoked, the cooking time is rather short, all the while giving the rice that nice smoky savoury flavour.
Making chicken biriyani can be quite adventurous because it involves a lot of steps. But it can also be quite rewarding if you take up the challenge.
