Have you guys been to the Friday Kitchen yet? It’s the very colourful and relatively new addition to Majeedhee Magu. Head over near the Galolhu stadium and you won’t miss it.
We heard about the shop just a couple of week’s back and ever since, we’ve been heading there quite a lot, mostly to get our Turkish delight cravings fixed. The flavours available are quite eclectic as you can probably tell from the pictures. For anyone with a serious sweet tooth, they’ve got halwas, baklava and chocolates as well.
If you are into nuts, they’ve got a selection of that as well. Our favourites are the caramel cashews, cheese cashews and roasted pistachios but there are peanuts, almonds and other sorts of nuts too.
They’ve got seeds too, sunflower, melon, probably useful for the health conscious. And then there are the dried fruits such as apricots, berries and of course dates. Spices are available too.
We’ve probably missed out on some of the stuff, as the place is pretty packed and there’s a lot more to be found in its nooks and crannies. Anyway, we think you should definitely drop by to have a look yourselves. The prices are quite reasonable too; they usually fall between MVR 25 to MVR 45 per 100 grams on most items, so there's definitely something for everyone.
