Your Iftar Can Help Someone

Category: Eating Out

A lot of us do enjoy visiting local restaurants and eateries occasionally to break our fasts with friends, families and co-workers. What if in addition to a meal shared with loved ones, you can also help someone in need?

The Maldivian Red Crescent is running a campaign this Ramazan that is doing exactly that. The independent, voluntary, humanitarian organization has teamed up with local restaurants for the 'Rufiya Eh Campaign to Fundraise for Emergencies'. 1 MVR from every bill is being donated towards the Maldivian Red Crescent’s Emergency Response Fund, which provides relief and support during crises and disasters.

Local restaurants that have embraced the spirit of giving back this Ramazan include Nouvelle Grill & Restaurant, Salsa Royal, Raanbaa Restaurant, Bombay Darbaar, Rock Chamber, Alchemist Bistro & Café, Kavárna, Kam Hotel, The Goatfish Café & Bistro, Sea Shells Restaurant, Cress Garden, Q corner, PowerPark, and Hasons.

So if you are planning to go out for iftar with your loved ones this Ramazan, why not go to one of these places and contribute to this heartwarming campaign?
