This week, we’ve put together a list of our tried and tested lunch options from around Male’ City. If you’re looking for a lunch date out with your friends or a quick delivery option mid-workday, we’ve got you covered!
Rodchenko
Rodchenko has several delicious lunch dishes available on their menu, from their chicken cheese kottu to beef korma rice and hot tuna pasta! You can either try out their menu at the restaurant itself or have your lunch delivered as well.
Meer Food
Established just earlier this year, Meer Food has slowly been gaining popularity in the city. Available for delivery, Meer Food offers an interesting range of options from different types of pasta to lunch bowls like their salmon poke bowl, the Greek rice bowl, and the chicken fajita bowl. If you veer towards more healthier options, they also have salads, quinoa bowls and couscous bowls available!

Soulfood by Himoo
The spicy and savoury Chinese-style noodles from Soulfood by Himoo will surely put a punchy kick to your lunch plans! The noodles are available either with beef, chicken, or prawns.

Bowl’d
For a healthy and filling lunch, Bowl’d is certainly the way to go! Their noodles, rice, cauliflower rice and couscous bowls – with a range of protein and veggie options – are available for pre-order and delivery to Male’ and Hulhumale’.

Magukolhu Hotaa
If you’re craving some Dhivehi food for lunch, look no further than Magukolhu Hotaa. Quintessential traditional lunch dishes such as rihaakuru dhiya, valhomas kirugarudhiya, dhon riha, garudhiya and masbaiy are available. You can also enjoy other delicious dishes like chicken biryani and chicken rice from the ‘hotaa’ for both dine-in and delivery as well.
Zeeba’s Deli and Café
You cannot go wrong with the readily available snacks and drinks at Zeeba’s for a quick, light lunch. Alternatively, you can also go for their lunch options available every day from 12:00 pm onwards. Food is available for either dine-in or takeaway. Lunch dishes depend on the day of the week – simply give them a call in advance to see the options!

Ást by Kavárna
A rebrand of the notable Kavárna Café in Hulhumale’, Ást by Kavárna has several different lunch dishes available. Malaysian-inspired beef rendang, satay rice with peanut sauce and Western favourites such as seafood aglio e olio or chicken alfredo are available here. You can also get lighter options such as burgers and sandwiches for lunch as well!
Ást by Kavárna is open for both dine-in and deliveries.
