If you’re a health-conscious but adventurous foodie, Bowl'd might already be your new favourite. We tried it for the first time and we were bowled over.
We ordered the Mediterranean couscous meal. It comes with raita, hummus, kale salad and roasted vegetables, with two types of falafel to choose from: spinach or beetroot. We got the former.
Our first impression upon unpacking it was that it looked and smelled great. The falafel was nicely cooked, not overwhelmingly spinachy and not too hard, and it combined well with the spicy hummus and raita.
The couscous was well-cooked and flavourful. The kale salad brought the crunch and it wasn’t bitter at all, as it sometimes can turn out to be. The roasted sweet potatoes added a hint of sweetness and smokiness. All the components of the dish came together nicely, providing textures and a good blending of flavours. The portion size was good and the meal was filling. Bonus: it’s vegan too!
If you’re craving a delicious meal that doesn’t leave you bloated, Bowl’d has you covered. There are eight options to choose from: noodle bowls, rice bowls, cauliflower rice and couscous meals. As for us, we’d happily order this again.
