Creamy Beef Sausage Linguine | Lonumedhu

Creamy Beef Sausage Linguine

This beef sausage linguine is a creamy, saucy and a cozy meal you could prepare without much effort, but still would be a hit crowd pleaser.

Our recipe uses Rum Jungle Gluten Free Beef Sausages provided to us by one of our partners, Blackgold Foods. As the name suggests, these sausages are gluten free, and also have no anti-biotics or hormones. The cattle are raised in Northern Australia, in a free-range environment, and they are grass fed. Therefore, the beef is all natural and HGP free.

Serving size: 4-5

Ingredients:

For cooking the pasta

  • 5 cups water
  • 250g linguine
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the sauce:

  • 5 Rum Jungle Gluten Free Beef Sausages
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion
  • 4 large cloves of garlic
  • ½ cup chopped parsley
  • 7 cherry tomatoes
  • 2 green chilies
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 200ml cooking cream
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Take a big pot and add in 5 cups of water and bring it to a boil. Once the water starts to boil add in the linguine along with a tsp of salt.
  2. Boil the linguine for 12-14 minutes or until cooked al dente and take it off the heat and drain the water. Add the pasta to a bowl with a tbsp of olive oil to prevent it from drying or sticking together.
  3. Defrost the Rum Jungle Gluten Free Beef Sausages and slice them to around 10 pieces per sausage.
  4. Then add 1 tbsp of olive oil to a pan and heat it up. Sauté the beef sausages for 13-15 minutes or until brown in color. Remove from pan and set aside.
  5. Dice the onion and finely chop the garlic and parsley. Then slice the cherry tomatoes and green chilis to halves.
  6. Next, heat 2 tbsp of butter and 1tbsp olive oil in a pot on medium low heat. Add in the onion and garlic and sauté for 2 minutes
  7. Add the cherry tomatoes and green chilis and continue sautéing for another 3 minutes.
  8. Now add in the Rum Jungle Gluten Free Beef Sausages that you cooked earlier to the pot and stir well. Cook it for 2 more minutes.
  9. After that, add in the cooking cream, salt, oregano, black pepper, and mix well and cook for 3 minutes on medium heat.
  10. Then add the cooked linguine and combine it with the sauce.
  11. Last but not least, add in the parmesan and chopped parsley right before removing it from the heat. Give it a final mix and that’s it.
