Soy Sauce Noodles

 

This spicy, saucy noodles dish comes with bits of dried tuna chips.

In our recipe we’ve used V3 Dark Soy Sauce which we got from one of our partners Standard & Origin (S&O). It gave our noodles a really nice umami taste and depth of flavour.

 

Serves: 2

 

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 packet instant noodles
  • 1 medium size onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 green chilli
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 7 curry leaves
  • 25g dried tuna chips (hikimas)
  • 1 ½ tsp. chilli flakes
  • 3 tbsp. V3 Dark Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp. oyster sauce
  • ½ tsp. sugar
  • ¼ cup water

 

Instructions

  1. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a pot. Once the water starts boiling, add the instant noodles. Boil the noodles for 2 minutes, drain and set aside.
  2. Dice the onion, mince the garlic and slice the green chillies in half.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and add the onion, garlic, curry leaves and sauté for 2 minutes or until onions are soft on medium high heat.
  4. Add the green chilli, dried tuna chips, chilli flakes and sauté for another 2 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked noodles, V3 Dark Soy Sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, water and mix everything and cook for a minute. That’s it; serve while hot.
