Raspberry Lemonade | Lonumedhu

Raspberry Lemonade

In this hot, tropical climate we are constantly getting dehydrated. If this is how you feel right now, our raspberry lemonade is just what you need to feel cool and hydrated. It has just the right amount of citrus from the lemons and sweet, tartness from the raspberry cordial.

To bring out the rich flavor of sweet raspberries in our lemonade, we have used Green Leaves Raspberry Juice Cordial provided to us by one of our partners, Silver Quest. This juice cordial is not only great for drinking by itself with some water, but also for making easy drinks like this at home. It is a great beverage option for gatherings as well as it can serve around 6-7 liters of juice.

Serving size: 2

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ lemons
  • ½ cup Green Leaves Raspberry Juice Cordial
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 6 mint leaves
  • 2 cup water (chilled)
  • 10 ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. First, we need to make fresh lemon juice. To make it easier to juice the lemon, first roll it on the kitchen counter or table while pressing down on it with your palms. Then slice the lemons in half and squeeze out the juice into a separate bowl or container.
  2. Strain the juice into a small jug so that there won’t be any seeds or extra bits of lemon in the juice.
  3. Mix in ½ cup raspberry juice with lemon juice.
  4. Next, add 1 ½ tbsp sugar in to the juices and mix well for 1 minute or until most of the sugar is dissolved.
  5. Then add in 6 mint leaves and 2 cups of chilled water and mix well again.
  6. Lastly, put 10 ice cubes in two separate glasses (5 in each). Pour the raspberry lemonade in to the glasses and serve while it’s still cold.
