Passion Fruit Mojito | Lonumedhu

Passion Fruit Mojito

No wonder we Maldivians love our mojitos. The weather here is usually sweltering hot and mojitos give us that much needed boost of hydration and refreshment.

This passion fruit mojito is an easy drink to make at home, especially useful for those times you need to please a crowd.

We used Legendary Uludag Gazoz Fruit Flavored Carbonated Drink in our recipe, which we got from one of our partners Island Beverages Maldives. The soft drink comes from Turkey and has a lovely fruity taste and slight sweetness. It gave our mojito a good amount of zing while bringing together the flavours of passion fruit, lime and mint really well.

Serves: 2

Ingredients:

  • 14 Legendary Uludag Gazoz Fruit Flavored Carbonated Drink ice cubes (1 bottle)
  • 6 thin slices of lime
  • 6 mint leaves
  • 4 tsp. sugar (or to taste)
  • 1 passion fruit (pulp and seeds)
  • 2 Legendary Uludag Gazoz Fruit Flavored Carbonated Drink bottles (for the mojito)

Instructions:

  1. Make ice cubes from Legendary Uludag Gazoz Fruit Flavored Carbonated Drink.
  2. Slice the lime. Save 2 to use as garnish.
  3. Take 2 tall glasses, add 3 mint leaves and 1 lime slice, 2 tsp. sugar, to each glass and muddle to release the lime juice and aromas. You can use a spoon for this.
  4. Halve the passion fruit pulp and seeds and add equally to each glass. Stir well to combine.
  5. Then add 7 Legendary Uludag Gazoz Fruit Flavored Carbonated Drink ice cubes, 1 lime slice and 1 Legendary Uludag Gazoz Fruit Flavored Carbonated Drink bottle in to each glass.
  6. Garnish each glass with the lime slices you saved along with some more mint and that’s it.
