Lots of breadfruits still in the local market, so this time we decided to make some Boakuri Bambukeyo. It’s a great treat on its own or with coconut slices, but absolutely love, love, love it with a Kulhimas type side.
As usual, here are a few things before we begin. We did put in a bit of pandan leaf in there, but you can skip that because it’s very usual for Boakuri Bambukeyo to be made without it. Also the Boakuri Bambukeyo recipe in Amin Didi’s Karuna Aai Nulaa Kekkun doesn’t use any water, but we did add a little since it allows the breadfruit to soften without sticking to the pot too much.
