Iced Mocha

 

Mocha combines two of our favourite things: coffee and chocolate. While we usually associate mochas with having drinks at café’s, it’s something you can easily make and enjoy at home too.

In our recipe we used American Garden Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup from one of our partners MHA. It has a deep chocolaty taste and is smooth, making it ideal for drizzling on anything from ice creams to pancakes. And its sugar free too and has 85% less calories than regular, meaning you can indulge in this drink from time to time, even if you are watching your weight. For those of you who have serious sweet tooths though, we’ve included instructions for how to make this with sugar as well.

 

Serves: 2

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp. instant coffee
  • 6 tbsp. American Garden Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup
  • 2 tbsp. sugar (optional)
  • 4 tbsp. water (room temperature)
  • 10 ice cubes
  • 1 cup full cream milk

 

Instructions:

  1. Take two small cups and add 1 tsp. instant coffee, 3 tbsp. American Garden Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup, (sugar if using) and 2 tbsp. water to each cup and mix well using a spoon. Now you have two portions of the coffee and chocolate mixture.
  2. Take two tall glasses, add 5 ice cubes, 1/2 cup full cream milk and 1 portion of the coffee and chocolate mixture to each glass.
  3. Mix well using a stirring spoon and that’s it. You can serve with whipping cream and a drizzling of more American Garden Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup if you want.
