Iced Coffee | Lonumedhu

Iced Coffee

These days are so hot and we certainly can use an ice cold coffee to get us refreshed and energized.

The recipe below is for all of us who like our coffees sweet and creamy. And making it that indulgent is the Marigold DAWN Sweetened Beverage Creamer we got from one of our partners S&O (Standard & Origin).

Marigold DAWN Sweetened Beverage Creamer is much like your regular condensed milk. However, we did notice that it’s not that loaded with sugar and it made our coffee feel really rich and indulgent. Apart from coffee, we think the creamer would be great in teas, smoothies and milkshakes too.

Serves: 2

Ingredients:

  • 5 tsp. instant coffee (to taste)
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 16 tbsp. Marigold DAWN Sweetened Beverage Creamer (or to taste)
  • ½ cup full cream milk
  • 3 tbsp. sugar (or to taste)
  • 2 cups ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients except the ice cubes to a jar with a tight fitting lid and shake it thoroughly so that everything is mixed evenly. Alternately you can use your blender for this too. You should also taste the mixture at this stage and adjust the coffee and sugar to your liking. However, do remember that this mixture is going to be poured over ice and therefore it’ll get diluted as the ice melts; so aim to have it a bit stronger.
  2. Divide the ice cubes between two glasses (we used 14 cm tall 8 cm wide ones). Then pour the mixture from step 1 over the ice cubes and serve immediately (depending on the size of your glass you might have a little bit of the mixture left).
