Foni Biscoadhu is a simple sweet treat made by combining cream crackers with bananas, sugar and grated coconut. It can be served with sliced Maldivian smoked tuna for afternoon tea. It’s also an unmissable component of Maahefun – pre-Ramadan get togethers where food is shared among friends, family and even colleagues.
In our recipe we’ve used Hup Seng Cream Crackers that we got from one of our partners Silver Quest. Hup Seng Cream Crackers are crispy with a creamy and buttery taste, with just the perfect amount of saltiness. While they are great when dipped into black tea, it gave this Foni Biscoadhu a really nice crunch and slightly buttery taste.
