Cardamom Tea

The days are cosy and a cup of Cardamom Tea might be just what you need to warm you up.

Serves: 2-3

  • 2 cup water
  • 15 cardamom pods
  • 6 black peppercorns
  • ¼ tsp. whole fennel seeds
  • 3 cloves
  • 3 black tea bags
  • 1 cup milk
  • 7 tsp. sugar (or to taste)

  1. Add water and cardamom pods to a large pot. Remember to open up the cardamom pods a little before you put them in.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil and then let it simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and add the tea bags. Let the tea steep for 2 minutes.
  4. Add the milk and sugar. Give it a good stir. Have a taste and adjust the sweetness to your liking.
  5. Place the pot back on top of the stove and on medium heat, let the mixture cook until it just begins to boil.
  6. Remove from heat and strain into mugs or cups.
