Banana Smoothie

 

This banana smoothie has all that you would want in a nutritious breakfast. It has bananas, almonds, yogurt, honey and most importantly, milk.

For our recipe we have used the Pauls Flavoured Milk Beverage Original, provided to us by one of our partners, Standard & Origin (S&O). These portioned milk packets have no added sugar and are great to grab on the go for your kids’ lunch for school. It also contains essential calcium and protein for kids' growth and development, strengthening bones and teeth.

 

Serving size: 1

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 pkt Pauls Flavoured Milk Beverage Original (110ml)
  • 7 ice cubes
  • 1/3 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • ¼ cup almonds
  • 1 tbsp honey

 

Instructions:

  1. First, slice the bananas into chunks. The smoothie will taste best when you use bananas that are fully ripe and sweet.
  2. To a blender, add in the sliced bananas, 1 pkt Pauls Flavoured Milk Beverage Original, ice cubes, plain yogurt, vanilla essence, almonds and honey.
  3. Blends all the ingredients together for 45 seconds or until smooth and creamy. For a smoother blend, start at the lowest speed on your blender and gradually increase speed. You can stir it with a spoon in between to blend easily.
  4. This banana smoothie is best served while it is still cool.
