Ever-delicious Nani’s Momos!

Nani’s Momos has been around for a few years now, and we’ve heard really good things about them. So, I guess it’s time that we finally do a review on them too!

Available from both Avas Food and Foodies delivery apps, Nani Momo’s delivers to Male’ and Hulhumale’ Phase 1 and 2 too. They have pan-fried and steamed momos as well as dumplings in spicy sauce with chicken, beef, prawn, and vegetable filling options.

We went for their chicken dumplings in spicy sauce and pan-fried prawn momos. Each pack comes with 12 pieces and the prawn momos come with chilli chutney and special dipping sauce.

The delivery was extremely fast – and the dumplings were still hot when they arrived.

Now, onto our tasting! 

The chicken dumplings were pleated beautifully and nestled in a spicy, chilli-oil like sauce. The sauce went really well with the minced chicken filling – which was more on the milder side – and the heat of the chilli flakes in the sauce really came through without being overpowering.

The pan-fried momos were bite-sized with a savoury, minced prawn filling. The chilli chutney was sour, spicy, and tangy, while the special momo dipping sauce was clear and brothy with a sweet and sour taste.

Both types of momos went really great with the sauces, creating their own flavour profile with the fillings and the pan-fried and steamed textures of the dumpling wrappers.

Something we also noticed was a small sticker with a prawn on it on top of the container with the prawn momos – a great way to identify different momos if you’re handling a large order or for people with seafood allergies!

Overall, Nani Momo’s offerings were delicious, and we can’t wait to try more of their dumplings and momos.
