Chipsmore Pudding | Lonumedhu

Chipsmore Pudding

Chipsmore pudding has become a very popular dessert among us Maldivians recently. It is quite similar to the normal chocolate biscuit pudding; the Marie biscuits are replaced with Chipsmore biscuits and the chocolate sauce is creamier.

While we have used the Chipsmore original flavour for this pudding, you can customize the pudding with other flavours of biscuit as well. Moreover, you can use other nuts like roasted peanuts and almonds to top off the pudding too. This is an easy dessert to whip up, for those busy days!

Serving Size: 3-4

Ingredients:

  • 300g nestle cream
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 12 Chipsmore biscuits (for the layers)
  • 3 crushed Chipsmore biscuits (for topping)
  • 15 chopped cashew nuts

Instructions:

  1. To a bowl, add 300g nestle cream and 1/3 cup cocoa powder. Using a whisk, mix until the cream is smooth with no large lumps.
  2. Then add in 1/3 cup condensed milk and 1 tsp vanilla essence. Continue whisking until fully combined and smooth.
  3. Pour 1/3 cup of the cream mixture to a tray/container and spread to cover the bottom of the tray. We have used a 5 ½ -inch small square glass container for this.
  4. Place 4 Chipsmore biscuits on top of the cream mixture. Then pour another 1/3 cup of the cream mixture on top. Place another 4 Chipsmore biscuits on top of the cream. Repeat the process of adding cream and placing biscuits until you have three biscuit layers.
  5. Now, pour the remaining cream on top of the last layer of biscuits. Spread and smooth out the top of the pudding, using the back of a spoon.
  6. Cover the pudding with plastic wrap and place it in the fridge for at least 3-4 hours to set. Leaving it overnight gives the best results. Before serving, sprinkle 3 crushed Chipsmore biscuits and 15 chopped cashew nuts on top.
