Teriyaki Chicken

 

This a very simple and easy way of preparing chicken teriyaki with a premade teriyaki sauce.

In our recipe we have used Fresh ST Teriyaki Sauce provided to us by one of our partners Pyramid. This teriyaki sauce is rich in flavor and ready for use, giving you a flavorful and easy sauce to incorporate into your cooking.

 

Serving size: 4

Ingredients:

  • 500g boneless chicken
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • ½ chili powder
  • 2 tsp flour
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • ½ cup Fresh ST Teriyaki Sauce
  • ½ tsp chili flakes
  • 3 cloves garlic (chopped)
  • ½ inch ginger (chopped)

 

Instructions:

  1. First cut the boneless chicken into 1-inch cubes.
  2. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, chili powder, and cumin powder. Add in 2 tsp flour and mix till the chicken is evenly coated with seasoning.
  3. To a sauce pan, add 3 tbsp oil and stir fry the chicken on medium high heat for 15 minutes. When it is cooked the chicken will be slightly crispy and golden brown in color. Set the chicken aside after cooking.
  4. Next, finely chop 3 cloves of garlic and 1-inch piece of ginger.
  5. To a saucepan, add in the garlic and ginger with a tbsp of oil and sauté till they are brown in color.
  6. Add in ½ cup Fresh ST Teriyaki Sauce and ½ tsp chili flakes and simmer on medium low heat for 2 minutes till it starts bubbling.
  7. Lastly, add in the cooked chicken and stir well. Cook for another 1 minute on medium low heat. Serve with freshly cooked rice.
