Rose Kulfi


Kulfi is a frozen milk-based dessert that’s popular in the Indian subcontinent. While kulfi can be made in a variety of flavours, here we have a kulfi recipe that’s rose flavoured, with hints of cardamom and pistachio.

In our recipe we’ve used Al Noor Instant Full Cream Milk Powder that we got from one of our partners STO (State Trading Organisation). Al Noor Instant Full Cream Milk Powder is enriched with vitamins and gave our kulfi a really nice creamy texture and taste.


Makes: 6



  • 1 cup Al Noor Instant Full Cream Milk Powder
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • Corn flour slurry (mix 2tbsp. corn flour in 2 tbsp. water)
  • ½ tsp. cardamom powder
  • 3 tbsp. chopped pistachio
  • 8 tbsp. rose syrup



  1. Mix ½ cup Al Noor Instant Full Cream Milk Powder in 4 cups water.
  2. Add the mixture to a pot and boil on medium high heat.
  3. When it boils for about 5 minutes add ½ cup Al Noor Instant Full Cream Milk Powder and sugar and stir until dissolved.
  4. Make the corn flour slurry by quickly combining 2 tbsp. corn flour in 2 tbsp. water in a small bowl. Then add it to the pot and keep stirring continuously.
  5. Then add cardamon powder and chopped pistachio and mix well.
  6. Keep stirring on medium high heat until the mixture reduces to half.
  7. Reduce heat and add rose syrup, stir to combine and turn off the heat.
  8. Pour the mixture into popsicle molds or paper cups and cover with foil. Then insert pop sticks into each and freeze until solid, about 4 hours. We used 3-inch paper cups.
