Rose Barfi


Rose Barfi is a rose flavoured milk-based sweet that’s as delightful as it’s easy to prepare.

The star ingredient of the recipe is the Luna Full Cream Milk Powder, which we got from one of our partners Miyami Traders. Made from pure cow's milk and containing 28 vitamins and minerals, the milk provides support to the brain and body for a strong and healthy life.


Makes: 6-8 pieces



  • ¼ cup ghee
  • ½ cup milk (mix 2 tbsp Luna Full Cream Milk Powder with ½ cup water)
  • 2 cups Luna Full Cream Milk Powder
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • ¼ cup rose syrup
  • 2 tbsp. chopped pistachio
  • 2 tbsp. chopped almond



  1. Heat a pan and add ghee, milk, Luna Full Cream Milk Powder, and sugar.
  2. Stir continuously on medium low heat, then add the rose syrup when the Luna Full Cream Milk Powder dissolves.
  3. Keep cooking while continuously stirring for 10 minutes until the contents in the pot form a firm dough and separate from the sides of the pan.
  4. Line a rectangular tray with baking paper. We used an 8 by 5.5 inch tray (to line the tray, first rub around a teaspoon of butter on the bottom and sides. Then, place a baking paper sheet at the bottom of the tray, pressing it down onto the butter; leave an overhang for easy removal). Transfer the mixture to the tray and press gently with a spatula to even it out.
  5. Add the chopped pistachios and almonds on top and gently press again.
  6. Put the tray in the fridge for 2 hours so that the barfi can set.
  7. When set, remove the barfi from the tray and cut into rectangular pieces.
