Marie Chocolate Balls | Lonumedhu

Marie Chocolate Balls

These yummy Marie Chocolate Balls are as fun and tasty a party snack can get. Especially if you use them for kid’s parties.

For this recipe we have used Nabil Marie biscuits provided to us by one of our partners, MHA. Like any good Marie biscuit, these packed with the flavours of butter, milk and vanilla. They are crunchy and really delicious with a cup of milk tea or coffee.

Serving size: 14

Ingredients:

For the chocolate balls:

  • 1 pkt Nabil Marie (100g)
  • ¼ cup raw cashew nuts
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • ¼ cup condensed milk
  • ¼ cup dark cooking chocolate
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp whipping cream

For topping:

  • Sprinkles

Instructions:

  1. Roughly grind the packet of Nabil Marie biscuits using a blender. After that chop up the cashew nuts.
  2. Add in melted butter, cocoa powder, and condensed milk to a bowl and mix well.
  3. Then add in the grinded Nabil Marie biscuits and the chopped cashew nuts. Combine well again.
  4. Using your hands make small balls from the biscuit mix. We made balls of around 1-inch in diameter. We were able to make 14 balls in total, but you can always adjust to your liking. Set the balls aside.
  5. Next, add in dark cooking chocolate, butter, and whipping cream to a pot. On low heat cook until the butter and chocolate are fully melted and mixed in with the whipping cream. Make sure to stir continuously to prevent the chocolate and butter from burning.
  6. Add the chocolate mixture into a bowl. Start coating the Nabil Marie biscuit balls you made earlier, by dipping them in the chocolate bowl. You can use a spoon or a fork to roll the balls and fully coat them.
  7. Last but not least, coat the chocolate balls with sprinkles. We have used rainbow sprinkles to make it more colourful, however, you can use any type of sprinkles you like. Before serving, chill them in the fridge for around 30 minutes so that the chocolate hardens.
