Jin Ramen | Lonumedhu

Jin Ramen

Here, we have a very simple and easy way to prepare ramen. This is a very customisable recipe, so you can always add in extra ingredients or toppings of your choice.

For the ramen in this recipe, we have used Ottogi Jin Ramen Spicy noodles, provided to us by one of our partners, MHA. Since this is a Korean style instant noodles, the noodle strands are thicker than usual. It has two seasoning packets, one with meat and vegetables and the other with spices, which makes a meaty, concentrated broth with an aged, spicy flavour.

Serving size: 1

Ingredients:

  • 3 spring onion stalks
  • 1 ½ cup water
  • 1 packet Ottogi Jin Ramen Spicy
  • 1 soft-boiled egg
  • ¼ tsp sesame seeds

Instructions:

  1. Slice 3 stalks of spring onions into 2-inch pieces.
  2. Then, heat 1 ½ cup water in a saucepan on medium high heat.
  3. After around 2 minutes, the water will start to boil, forming bubbles. At that time, add in the sliced spring onions, the noodles of the Ottogi Jin Ramen Spicy packet, and the seasoning packets to the saucepan.
  4. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the noodles are soft. Then, remove to a bowl along with the broth.
  5. For the topping, slice a boiled egg and place it on top of the noodles.
  6. Sprinkle ¼ tsp of sesame seeds as a final touch.
