Imee Tom Yum Soup Noodles

 

This Imee Tom Yum soup recipe is perfect to try on a rainy day, or for a cozy day at home.

Our recipe uses Imee Creamy Tom Yum Noodles (shrimp flavor) kindly provided to us by one of our partners ADK General Trading. These instant noodles only take 3 minutes to prepare and is full of flavor and spices. It is a great option for making cozy soups like this at home in a short amount of time.

Ingredients:

  • 1 small onion
  • 3 green chilies
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tomato
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 10 curry leaves
  • 1 can tuna (180g)
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 pkt Imee Creamy Tom Yum Noodles (shrimp flavor)
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 2 boiled eggs (optional)

 

Instructions:

  1. First, thinly slice the onion, ginger and green chili. Then chop the garlic and dice the tomato.
  2. Heat a pot and add 2 tbsp olive oil on medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, and curry leaves and sauté for 2 minutes or until onion becomes soft and slightly brown in color.
  3. Next add in the diced tomato, green chili and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Then add in the tuna can after draining any excess oil/water, and cook for another minute.
  5. Add 3 cups water and ginger to the pot.  When the water starts boiling, add the Imee Creamy Tom Yum Noodles (shrimp flavor) with the seasoning sachets. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Lastly add the lime juice and give a mix before removing from heat. Add the noodles into two separate bowls. You can serve each bowl with a boiled egg for extra flavor but it is optional.
