Easy Chicken Burger | Lonumedhu

Easy Chicken Burger

Almost everyone enjoys a good chicken burger. This chicken burger recipe is quick and easy to prepare, filling, and perfect for lunch, dinner, or even a weekend snack. You can serve it with fries, salad, or your favourite sauces.

For our recipe, we have used Al Islami Chicken Burgers, provided to us by one of our partners, Standard and Origin (S&O). These burgers are juicy, flavourful, and cook in just a few minutes. If you can’t find Al Islami Chicken Burgers from a shop near you, contact 301 5533 or 301 5522.

Serving size: 2

Ingredients:

For the burger sauce:

  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp chilli sauce
  • 1/8 tsp yellow mustard
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder

For the patties:

  • 1 cup oil
  • 2 frozen Al Islami Chicken Burgers

To assemble:

  • 2 large burger buns
  • 2 tsp unsalted butter (for toasting the buns)
  • 2 cheddar cheese slices
  • 1/3 cup roughly chopped lettuce
  • 2 large slices of tomato (4 slices of tomato if small)
  • ½ small onion (thinly sliced, cut horizontally)

Instructions:

  1. To a small bowl, add 2 tbsp mayonnaise, 1 tbsp chilli sauce, 1/8 tsp yellow mustard and 1/8 tsp garlic powder. Mix using a small spoon and set aside.
  2. Next, add 1 cup oil into a medium sized pot and heat on high heat for 5 minutes. Add the 2 frozen Al Islami Chicken Burgers and fry for 1 to 2 minutes on each side. Once done, set aside.
  3. Slice 2 large burger buns in half. We used buns which were around 4 inches wide. Take a new pan and melt 1 tsp unsalted butter on medium heat. Place two burger bun slices, cut side facing down on the butter, and toast for 1-2 minutes until golden brown and lightly crispy. Repeat for the other two slices of buns.
  4. Then assemble the burgers. First spread 2 tsp of the burger sauce on the bottom slice of each bun. Then place the chicken patties on top.
  5. Now add a cheddar cheese slice on each burger. Then equally distribute the 1/3 cup roughly chopped lettuce, 2 large slices of tomato (4 slices of tomato if small) and ½ small onion (thinly sliced, cut horizontally) for both burgers.
  6. Lastly, spread 1 tsp burger sauce on each top slice of the buns. Place them sauce side down on top. Serve and enjoy!
