If you’re in the mood for something spicy, tangy and full of flavour, Thai food is always a good option. Fortunately for those of us living in the Greater Male’ Area, we now have a few restaurants that serve just this!

Here, we’ve listed down six restaurants – perfect for visiting when you want to enjoy some warm, flavourful Thai classics.

Thai Wok

Thai Wok Restaurant has been around for years and is probably one of the most established places for Thai food in Male’. There’s plenty to choose from here, whether you prefer something spicy, savoury or even a little milder.

Sawasdee Cafe’

Sawasdee Cafe serves a range of rice and noodle dishes such as pineapple fried rice, pad see ew, pad Thai as well as meat and seafood options. There are also salads and soups, including different types of tom yum, papaya salad and mango salad, along with drinks like Thai milk tea and Thai green tea. They also have Thai bbq, hot pot and seafood boil options, which you can order in advance!

Sala Thai

The menu at Sala Thai covers all Thai favourites, from curries, stir-fries and noodles to soups and salads, in a relaxed setting, perfect for date nights or small dinners with friends and families.

Som Tam Thai

Located in Male’, Som Tam Thai is a cosy spot serving classics like their namesake som tam (papaya salad), pad Thai, green curry, red curry, and kang kung beef. The menu also includes appetisers like spring rolls and Thai omelette, along with a selection of meat and seafood dishes, rice and noodles, and drinks.

Hot Wok

Hot Wok in Hulhumale’ is another great option for Thai food. The menu features a mix of Asian dishes, including Thai-style crowd pleasers such as pad Thai, pandan chicken, Thai basil chicken rice, and even desserts like mango sticky rice and Thai red ruby.
