If you’re looking for a healthy teatime snack, we recommend you try the low-calorie hedhikaa by Low Calorie.Mv.
With gluten-free and sugar-free options, the hedhikaa are suitable not only for those looking for healthier options, but also for the ones who can’t eat sugar or gluten due to health reasons.
We ordered the oats and quinoa kulhi boakibaa and the gluten-free banana bread, which was delivered promptly at teatime. The packaging came with a cute, handwritten message too!
At first glance, the oats and quinoa kulhi boakibaa just looked like the usual kulhi boakibaa (with ground rice and coconut), and we’re happy to report that it tasted the same too! The nutty flavour of the quinoa and oats were completely undetectable; what comes through is the lovely, savoury flavour of the valhomas and onion-turmeric mixture.
The banana bread was topped with sliced almonds and gluten-free Hershey’s chocolate chips. The cake, although sugar-free, gluten-free and made with no refined oil, tasted absolutely delicious. It was full of banana flavour with just the right amount of sweetness.
Other than the kulhi boakibaa and banana bread, Low Calorie.Mv also offers whole wheat havaadhulee bis, oats fihunu gulha and their sugar and gluten-free almond cake. And we hear that they have a gluten-free brownie coming on the way as well – definitely worth checking out!
