There’s a new coffee spot in town and we couldn’t wait to check it out! Tucked right in front of the Henveiru Saharaa, Soho Coffee Club is the latest addition to the ever-growing café scene of Male’.
From the moment we stepped in, the place felt like a cozy little retreat with clean interiors, a bright vibe, and quite a spacious layout – perfect for catching up with friends or knocking out a bit of work.
Their drinks menu is extensive, to say the least. Coffees (including the classics and the special blends), smoothies, refreshers, teas – you name it. We noticed they even had ceremonial matcha on the menu. Food-wise, Soho Coffee Club offers breakfast, lunch, snack and dessert options. They also offer high tea in the evening but be sure to go soon as it does run out quite fast!
On our visit, we went with their dirty coffee – a blend of espresso poured over cold milk. It was strong without being overwhelming, and had that nice contrast between the boldness of the coffee and the smoothness of the milk. Definitely something we’d order again!
Next up was the grilled cheese with chicken sandwich, which was just as satisfying as it sounds; toasted just right, the bread had a bit of crunch, while the filling was warm, savoury and generously loaded with grilled chicken and melty cheese. It’s the kind of sandwich that works just as well for breakfast as it does for a mid-afternoon bite.
And of course, we couldn’t leave without trying something sweet. The obvious choice was their signature pistachio cheesecake. It had a rich, nutty flavour and a smooth, creamy texture that we absolutely loved – not too sweet, just right.
All in all, Soho Coffee Club makes a strong first impression. With a good mix of drinks, well-portioned food, and a comfortable setting, it feels like a welcome addition to the city’s café scene.
Whether you're a matcha enthusiast, a cheesecake lover or just someone in need of a cosy new coffee spot, Soho Coffee Club is definitely worth checking out.
