Biriyaniu’s Diavola Pizza

Biriyaniu’s pizzas have recently been taking Instagram by storm. We’re big fans of her bagels and bagel bites, so when she started taking orders for Italian-style pizzas, we knew we had to try it.

And we did! She currently makes Neopolitan and Diavola pizzas and has also recently introduced a third option – Quattro Formaggi (four cheese) made with Parmigiano Reggiano, mozzarella, gorgonzola, and goat cheese.

We opted for the Diavola pizza. For those of you who aren’t familiar with it, Diavola is a pizza with tomato sauce, hot salami, and spicy chili peppers, and of course, mozzarella cheese.

Now, onto our verdict!

First up, the crust. The crust was crispy and airy, slightly burnt at the bottom with a lovely chewiness and bite to it. We honestly could have eaten the crust alone! It was truly the star of the show.

The rest of the pizza was equally amazing as well. The tomato sauce had a slight spiciness to it. The salami and the mozzarella were lovely, and no element overpowered another. The bites with the jalapeno peppers added an extra layer of spiciness which we loved. We certainly could have had some more of the peppers!

Overall, the pizza was perfectly balanced, and not greasy at all. At full-size, this pizza can easily feed 2-3 people, and is the perfect option for your next home movie night with friends!
