Banana Pudding by Three Crumbs

If you’re someone who never says no to a good dessert, then this one is well worth putting on your must-try list – banana pudding by Three Crumbs.

Inspired by the famous banana pudding from Magnolia Bakery, what makes it even better is that this version is made entirely from scratch! 

We ordered ours on their Pudding Thursday and it was delivered, freshly made in the evening. And let us just say, it looked absolutely delicious; layers of pastry cream, whipped cream, bananas and homemade Nilla wafers, all topped with a caramel drizzle on top. Just looking at it makes you want to dive right in – and that’s exactly what we did!

The base is a smooth, velvety pastry cream, which had just a hint of vanilla-y, caramelly taste to it. Mixed with the whipped cream, it gave each spoonful a rich but not-too-heavy feel. Layers of fresh, ripe bananas added that familiar sweetness, while the slightly soft chewiness of the Nilla wafers ensured that the pudding had real depth and a mix of different textures.

It’s really the kind of dessert that keeps you going back for more – just to get a different combination of textures and flavours. It’s also clearly made with care, exactly the kind of dessert you’ll want to go back to when you’re craving something comforting.
