This time for our Love This Dish segment, we try the pasta from Sauced Up by Lucies. Opened last year, the restaurant has become well-known for their delectable pasta dishes in both red, cream and oil-based sauces. This includes Chilli Meatball, Prawns Marinara, Chicken Aglio e Olio and even a Creamy Linguine with Fried Chicken Pops!
We decided to go for their Alfredo Chicken – a dairy-based white sauce pasta, made with linguine and served with a piece of crumb-fried chicken breast.
Delivery for Sauced Up by Lucies is managed by the Foodies app, and ordering was simple, easy, and fast!
Now, time for our taste test!
The sauce was creamy as advertised, but not overly heavy as white sauces sometimes tend to be. The richness of it was undercut by a slight, tangy, lemon-y taste along with the spiciness of the ground black pepper and chilli flakes. The herbs used were balanced and did not overpower the creamy, cheesy sauce at all.
The linguine itself was cooked al dente which also helped to pace the creaminess of the sauce while eating. The crumb fried chicken piece was big, and had a nice savoury taste to it which complemented the pasta very well.
On the whole, Sauced Up by Lucies served up a delectable, indulgent dish of pasta – and we can’t wait to try more of their offerings!
