Bite Club Burger & Birria Roll

For our Love the Dish article this time, we tried out the Ramly beef burger and birria roll from Bite Club online food page.

Opened just last month, Bite Club is an online food page serving up Ramly burgers – from the famous Malaysian food brand as well as cheeseburgers, birria rolls and nachos. The burgers are available with either beef or chicken patties – and you can choose whether you want single or double patties too!

Ordering is pretty easy and can be done via their Instagram page – and the delivery was way faster than expected.

Now, before we go on to our tasting, be forewarned reader – this is messy food! But that’s really what makes it so good.

The burger was a great portion size for one and comes with a side of French fries.. Although the taste of the Ramly burger patty itself was a bit less juicy than we had expected, the add-ons to the burger more than made up for it; the omelette and the melty cheese, along with the black pepper sauce, mayo and chilli sauce created a truly spectacular flavour bomb that was both savoury, salty and just a tiny bit spicy at the same time.

Now, for the birria roll – made with slow-cooked, shredded beef stewed in Mexican birria spices. The shredded beef was tender and flavourful while the pickled onions and the coriander gave a refreshing kick to the roll.

But the real flavour of the roll comes through only when you dip it in the accompanying birria consommé – the stew in which the beef was cooked. The flavours are hot, smoky, and spicy at the same time and absolutely delightful! Plus, it makes a great dip for the French fries as well! 

Overall, the food was delicious, and we highly recommend you check it out. We know that we’ll definitely be going back to try out more from Bite Club!
